The one thing on most peoples minds when buying a mattress without trying it first, and with good reason, is "will it be comfortable for my child?"

Quite simply, WE would be most uncomfortable selling mattresses that we would not put our own children on! For this reason even our entry level mattress is fully sprung.

But commerce being what it is it is neccessary to state some facts. At the end of the day if we sell mattresses that let the side down then we are going to be hearing from you again for all the wrong reasons!

OUR MATTRESSES:

TRUNDLE BED MATTRESS (£89.00)
These make alternative use of the long underbed drawer and are only intended for occasional "sleep-overs". The weight has to be kept down and for this reason only these mattresses are made of foam.

SUPERIOR SPRUNG MATTRESS (£109.00)
Despite the name this is essentially our entry-level mattress. It is fully sprung, unlike the mattresses normally sold with budget bunk beds, and hence the posh adjective "superior". However, we would suggest that these mattresses are best suited for young children who, being prone to the occasional accident, may wish to upgrade to a more deluxe version in a few years time. TUFTED SPRUNG MATTRESS - from the Mattress Monkey, of course! (£149.00)
These are exclusive to Bunky Business and are handmade in England mainly from natural fibres. They are firmer than the Superior Sprung version and have the added benefit of handles, vented sides and tufted construction that helps keep everything in place for a good night's sleep. Covering is a nice old fashioned black and white cotton ticking and the Mattress Monkey even has his own portrait proudly displayed on every one! Ideal for older children (10+) and adults but you could always add a waterproof fitted sheet and/or mattress protector (see below) if using with younger chimps.

CONCLUSION:
Mattress selection is a personal choice but rest assured (literally!) our sprung mattresses are a cut above the budget versions commonly sold as part of a "deal" to keep the prices down.

MATTRESS SIZES:

Mattress sizes for shorty beds are 90cm wide x 162cm long x 15cm deep. We now supply white cotton fitted sheets (1 free with each mattress purchased and further sheets available at £15 each) as this size bedding is not readily available. Mattresses for all other beds are 90cm wide x 200cm x 15cm which is a standard continental size single (same width but slightly longer than a 3' x 6' 3" mattress). This size is fast becoming the norm in the UK and bedding to fit is now widely available.

FITTED MATTRESS PROTECTOR (£15) - A luxurious quilted protector that not only enhances the comfort of the mattress but also prolongs mattress life and helps protect against occasional spillages as most of the liquid will be absorbed. Fully machine washable. Intended for use under a fitted or flat sheet.

FITTED WATERPROOF SHEET (£10) - A machine washable waterproof sheet that will last several washes after those occasional accidents! Use beneath a fitted or flat sheet or underneath our Fitted Mattress Protectors to get the best of both worlds.
